Hot water bathroom shut off valve

I have an all house built in the 70s and in my bathroom the shut off valve came off. I can't get it to stop spraying. Nobody sales the right size valve. How can I seal the hole so i can cut my water back on?

What's the valve for? Sink? Toilet?
Size? Type? Pictures?
