[Seeking Advice]Water drip from new Basin Tap

Hi Experts,

Recently my Irwell made Basin tap was dripping every now and then, which made me to replace the washer in the tap, For some reason i could not unscrew the spindle, either it was tight or possibly there is a different technique to unscrew them - Used Monkey Wrench, Tap Spanner and a standard Wrench - Interestingly enough i could not unscrew spindle on either taps which leads me to believe the technique could be inappropriate. Additionally one of my friend who is a classic handy man could not unscrew it either.

Failing to do so made me rip the entire Tap set from the basin (top/underneath) and replace it with a new one (Estilo Wels) https://www.bunnings.com.au/estilo-wels-3-star-9l-min-basin-set_p5003016

After successfully replacing the tap with a brand new one the original problem still exist i.e. Water dripping on an average after every 15-20 seconds.

Just wondering if someone else have been in a situation or seeking for suggestions from the community on the possibility of what could be the root cause of this?
Surely this can not be norm response of the tap....

PS - I have checked the mains and ensured there is no obvious leak.

check the aerator on the faucet
does it show sand or gravel?

remove the supply tubes from the faucet and purge the line, you may have sand in your pipes
could have gotten there by a breakage down the road,,and meandered down the line to pay you a visit

purge lines, clean aerator, clean washers, see if that does it

Is the water piping in the house copper or galvanized. You could be getting debris into the lines when you changed the faucet like Frodo said.

No sign of sand or gravel in the aerator, The entire tap set from braided pipes to mixer to faucet to taps are new

Copper - This is the only tap in the entire house which drips - Not a massive issue but annoying!

The last thing i could think of is whether the new set of tap is dodgy - Or possibly the washers are low quality.

I apologize for not explaining my self correctly,

if their was a pipe break somewhere in the city utility system and sand managed to get into the pipe
[this is very typical]
the sand can move through the pipes in the water stream.
when the sand gets to your house,
it will go to the first faucet that is opened, because it is pushed there by the water moving
when that happened, your old faucet got sand in its washers
you switched out faucets. but did not flush the line
so....when you turned the water on to the new faucet, the sand that was already in the pipe in your wall
moved into the new faucet, and is causing it to drip.

what you need to do
take the new faucet apart, you should still have the faucet literature/directions/warranty to assist you doing this
clean the washers
place the flex supply lines in a bucket and turn the valve on under the sink
flush those pipes 3 gallons minimum

reattach the supply lines, remove the aerator, turn on the faucet

So finally cracked the conundrum, The washer rubber head was missing from a brand new spindle bought from Bunnings.
Replaced it with a new one and no drips!
Could you believe it....
