Corrosion resistant valves for home supply

I have some humidity issues in my basement, and obviously I need to fix that, but I am shocked how quickly the newer valves from Home Depot, Lowes and similar stores corrode. I am referring to ball valves to shut off the hot and cold 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch copper supply lines. The valves in the house when I bought it were old when I moved in, and many lasted 3, 4, or 5 years after. But some of them have been replaced 2 or 3 times since, often showing corrosion within the first year and failing after 2 years. The main shutoff to the house is 50 years old, and while not corrosion free, still works perfectly.

Can anyone recommend a ball valve that meets residential codes and lasts longer?

so are all valves corroded old and new....how about the valves under your sinks and next to your toilet

No, the valves under the sinks and toilets seem to be fine. I don't know if that is their location or what they are made of. This is strange, as the bathroom has much higher humidity than the basement, and the valves right before a sink or toilet appear to me to be more cheaply made.

I didn't mean literally every valve in the whole house corroded, just that this has been a consistent problem in the basement, and newer valves (not sure if they are brass or bronze) purchased at large retail stores have had much shorter lifespans than the older valves they replaced.

I also want to mention the basement humidity has gotten consistently better over the 15 years I've been in the house, as I've improved drainage and added a dehumidifier, so the short lifespan of the newer valves is especially disappointing.

I saw the same thing at my brother in laws house I cut them out and replace with APOLLO ball valves

This is the sort of answer I was looking for, but Apollo's catalog must include 1000+ different valves, and I don't think they sell direct to consumers. Can you advise me more on which APOLLO valves to look at and where to buy them?

if you have a plumbing supply house near you im sure the would have them and other quality valves...maybe try...….amazon?????

if humidity is the issue, deal with the issue
if humidity is so bad it is destroying metal it has to be rotting the structure
