Don't know if there could possibly be an Air Lock or Such in the system.. Have looked for Vent Pipe sticking up thru the Roof (??) Nothing... Have access to the Plumbing from the Basement Ceiling, there is what looks like a small Vent Cap that sticks up T 'd off the toilet drain pipe .. A pail of hot water poured down the toilet has no problem flushing.. Is there another Alternative other than Venting thru the Roof ?? Thoughts & Opinions Appreciated, Cheers Thanks

What's the problem?
So there is no pipe, large or small, sticking up through the roof?
Why do you mention possible air lock?
Did you look in attic for AAV'S(Air Admittance Valves)?

If a pail of water manully dumped in the toilet goes down just fine then it is the toilet itself that is the problem. Not venting or any of the drain pipes

What's the problem?

(Nope)

Why do you mention possible air lock?
(Just The Way It's Flushing)

Did you look in attic for AAV'S(Air Admittance Valves)?
(Nothing Sticking Up Against Wall coming up From The Wall)

Sorry I don't follow this statement. Are you referring to the absence of pipes coming up from the toilet wall?

So the problem is, "Just the way it's Flushing"??? And just how it flushing?

There is no AAV's and Vent Pipe poking thru the Roof... It just doesn't have the Umph as it should , taking 2 / 3 Flushes to get rid of the Hershey Bars... Is All..

I get the picture now.
Since you seem to feel that, "A pail of hot water poured down the toilet has no problem flushing.", I would lift the lid off the toilet tank and first check that it's full up to the recommended level. Maybe like 1/2" below the overflow level. Assuming that's okay, I would try flushing while the lid is still removed, and observe for anything unusual. For example, the entire tank should empty rather quickly and completely, before the flapper closes.

sounds like it could be :
to much slack in the flapper chain....
the wrong flapper
there are other things that you can do but start simple.....
take some pics of the inside of the toiletand see if you can find a name.....should be right behind were the toilet seat tightens to the bowl
