Need help friends.
We own a modular home in a Texas. The location we set it up at had no direct access to our towns septic line so we have to use a septic tank. Now my problem. We had our roof re-shingled earlier this year. When we did it we closed off our roof vent fans, now my plumbing vents are in the attic not through the roof and venting to the outside. Because of that sometimes our home get sewer gas inside.

My question is, could I use a saddle tee to cut into our main line right past the foundation and run a vent up our side wall? If I put a vent pipe right before the line goes under the house, would this help eliminate the gas coming back into the house and attic? Or would it make it worse? Could windy days push the smell back even worse?
I know nothing about plumbing, feel so lost lol and it’s suoer stressful to come to a home right after work and as soon as you open the door some days smells funky smh.

Any input would be super appreciated

you should not run the vent up the side of the house tie the vents together and pop a hole in the roof and your done

Is it illegal or wouldn’t look good? I’m worried about a leak if I drill a whole in my roof. If I could afford a plumber I would do that but money is tight right now.

Well whoever closed all the roof vents when they reshingled the roof should be the one to reinstall the vents through the roof.

do you have a ridge vent ont your roof????its at the peak and looks like an extra layer of shingles......if you just extended those pipes close to that vent it might help ….if you have one(ridge vent}

Do not pipe the vents to a ridge vent go through the roof don't half asss something bite the bullet and get it done correctly

I am still wondering why the vents were removed and/or covered over.

I'm thinking it wasn't the plumbing vents in the attic but rather the attic vents that were removed. And that the plumbing vents may have always terminated in the attic. Don't know why they would be except maybe a DIY'er.
Just theory on my part of course.:confused:

if it is plumbing vent use air admittance valve or around here you can sidewall vent then go above roof. its not pretty but you wont have to go through roof
