Gas line to dishwasher?

Into cabinet that houses my dishwasher

This is under my sink. It's entering the cabinet wall to my dishwasher.

It's not to the stove, as that is on the opposite wall to the right while this is directed left.

Any clue why this would be here?
I wanted to pull out the dishwasher and inspect it's power connection, but this gives me pause.

Odd, why wouldn't they just route it off the hot water supply from the hot water valve right next to it, rather than having two hot water valves coming out of the wall?

It's not an old house, built in 2001.

Could be for flow rate reasons perhaps? More than one appliance running from one connection might struggle.

so you can isolate dishwasher or faucet separately.

That's definitely a water shut off valve and not gas.

Looks like an awful small line to me.
Where's you refrigerator located? Does it have an ice marker?
