I had my home built in 2000 and at the time boiler condensate and all backwash from the media filter and softener went down the drain. Now I am hearing none of that can go to the septic system. I've only pumped the 1500 gallon tank once since new and have had no problems so far. I am pretty sure that if I sell the home I will have to bring this to code. Has anyone run into these issues before? The home is slab on grade and would be very hard to take this water somewhere else.

I believe this varies with location and jurisdictions. Probably best to call your local jurisdiction with these questions.
Once you find out it would be of interest to others as to what was required and your location.
