I’m replacing the tile in the laundry room and have a 2” drain with a p trap on a slab foundation. The ABS is flush with the concrete floor that I’ll be tiling on. I’d like to keep this drain but the floor isn’t sloped at all, just slightly around the drain. Can I just tile around it and then drop in a grate or do I need an ABS connection to the existing pipe below the slab and then add a shower drain?

Thanks for the advice
