Well, I tend to shop at home depot, so it wouldn't surprise me if the cartridge had been
damaged by a previous installer and then returned. For future projects, which brands would you

FYI, I pulled out the cartridge and it seemed as clean as a whistle. The rubber gaskets were
nice and snug when placing it back in, but it still leaked, unless I turned the knob an extra 3

Thanks - I'll try that.I noticed that if I turn the knob a bit further, the dripping finally
stops. But the chrome handle wouldn't be able to turn that far once all the assembling is done.

I finished the plumbing for my new shower. I temporarily screwed in the chrome elbow with
teflon (no shower head - just a bucket to catch the water) just to test and make sure there are

Ahh ok.. if I understand correctly, I measure and cut as needed, screw in the female adapter
with teflon, cement both pipes, then line up the pipes and with a bit of luck, the floor pipe
