I'll see if I can flag someone down on one of the sister forums to see if they can help out
since I don't want to steer you wrong.

I honestly don't know. I'll have to defer to the experts on this but I think they are busy with
the holidays. But, I am confused about what is going on there. Why is there a trap in that one
    spot with ...

This diagram explains how to measure the trap arm (the slope is very important-- it must not be
greater than or less than 1/4" per ft
    slope).https://78.media.tumblr.com/07714ad50ccf437dc0957bec3d2e4b4...

Maybe I'm dense, but on the second one, could you mark where the vent is? Does each fixture
have it's own vent or will they be sharing a vent/wet venting?

In some places, a 2" drain trap arm has been reduced to only 6', but I don't know about your
area. You could do a branch vent that goes up before the drain and tie the branch in to the
    existing vent f...

Is the toilet on the other side of the wall? A sketch of where things are and the distances
might help. This doesn't solve the issue of wet-venting the toilet, but the goal is to give you
    a better idea...

A few things[*]As CT-18 pointed out, your husband has created an S-trap. The trap arm on a 2"
vent pipe needs to be at least 4" long (it must be no less than two pipe diameters) and no
    greater than 6'...

I agree with Matt, if it links up to an actual vent within 5ft it shouldn't need to be
changed. Is it draining slowly or having issues? Or do you just dislike the loop vent taking up
    space?

We can't be friends any more.LOL. I like Johnny Cash music and some country music-- but the
really whiny sounding stuff makes me cringe. I'm learning to tolerate it a bit more. At least
    it's not as ba...

You are an awesome friend Zanne.Thanks. I really wish I could do more for him. Funeral was
rough. I hate funerals and I also can't stand country music. Other things, it makes me sad when
    other people ...
