Hello all,

So I recently bought a condo and wanted to replace the tub spout as the shower diverter is not working. I removed the malfunctioning spout but am having trouble finding a replacement. See below for pictures of the copper pipe. The diameter of the pipe is 1.125 inches. The length of the pipe is 2.25 inches (i.e. full length from wall to front end of pipe). Can you please help me figure how to:

1. Replace and seal (i.e. prevent any water leakage) a new properly
2. Where I would be able to purchase a proper replacement spout for this type of fixture (I tried home depot but had no luck in finding a replacement spout for a pipe of this diameter)

Thank you in advance for your help.

That fitting you see is just screwed onto a copper male adapter.
hold the fitting with a wrench close to where it is coming out of the wall and unscrew the brass fitting. just be careful you don't twist the copper pipe inside the wall.
