I'm using an AMTROL WELL-X-TROL WX-102 tank to pressure up an Aeroponics system that requires 100 to 140PSI downstream.

The tank is rated for 150PSI and I have a relief valve on it rated for same.

My pump pressure switch is set to cut in pump at 100PSI and cut off at 140PSI.

WX-102 tank came factory preset at 38PSI.

Just wanted to confirm, before adding any water, I should increase air pressure on top nipple for the internal air bladder to just
under 100PSI, the pump cut in pressure, right?

Technically you would want 95-98 PSI air charge in the tank. But you also want less air than the lowest pressure the system will see. So if the pump is a slow starter or if sometimes you open up enough water use to bring the pressure below 100, then you want less air in the tank than the lowest pressure used or seen.

Thanks, Valveman, much appreciated, tried it set at 97PSI, seems to work pretty well.

Thanks, again!
