It's pretty much dead, but can I temporarily patch it with epoxy putty?

The water is coming out near the base - the part between the real base and the pipe. I don't know the words for it.

Anyway, can I do this until I can afford to have it fixed?

Thanks!

What is doing under the sink? Is it flooded? If you attempt to epoxy it, you can bet it will flood for sure.

Don't you have a Second hand store or a Habitat for Humanity store nearby? I've seen full working faucets for as little as $5, which is less money that the attempted epoxy!

hi, thanks for answering. It's not leaking under the sink, only above.

I don't want to try to replace it myself.....I was just wondering if
this could be a temp fix until I can afford a plumber.

I'm seeing epoxy putty for $5 on ebay.....

I'm going to guess that epoxy may work, depending on what is leaking. If that leaking pipe is under constant pressure then I will say no. How about asking a friend or neighbor to help you? I guess if times are tough, you could always sell the computer you are currently on to get the money to pay for a new faucet.

I have a new faucet. I bought it a while ago.

the financial problem I mentioned was in not having the money right to pay
a plumber, but now I regret mentioning it.

It is not under constant pressure. Thanks for the almost straight answer.
