" Hairy " The spider

I have a very peculiar spider living in the ladder rack of my plumbing service truck.
We named it “Hairy”
At dusk it comes out and builds a web on the back of my service van.
He then takes down the web before morning.
Like clock work for about 3 weeks now.
Took me a couple weeks to find his daytime hiding place where it would ride around with me all day while I was working.
I helped it out a couple times by tossing a nice juicy moth into it’s web.

Last night It did something different. Some how it managed to run a single web strand to the roof of my house.
That is a good 10ft span. It had to crawled to the ground, up the side of the house to the roof, and then jump.
Then make it back up to the ladder and upper back end of my Van.

What kind of spider is it

It would be a dead spider if I have anything to do with it.

I tried to look it up, but the best I could tell is that it is a Garden ORB web builder.

That's what my wife wants to do.
I don't particularly like spiders either but this one deserves a little leeway.

I am easily amused and it's starting to get dark.

I used 3 gallons of yard poison today after reading this thread. I hate bugs and critters.

I used a bunch of pellets on some squirrels. They are tearing up my property. Need to bust out my .17hmr its way better and more accurate.

Spiders can sense trouble.It must have bailed. Knew we were talking about it.

get some of these, it is real quiet, perfect for in the "city limit" situations

when you have nosey neighbors and a rodent problem.

I bet the spider is in your attic now.

I got the squirrelnator. It catches them an then you drown them. Got four yesterday afternoon.

fry them bad boys up, make some gravy out of the drippings and make some biscuits

What do they taste like? Is it white meat or dark and gamey?

Probably taste like squirrel. I'll eat them when I have to.
