I would like to understand more about how to install a main water line from a well to a garden. I think I'll need to know the following (at least):
-Size of pump needed to meet GPM I need
-Diameter of main line that goes from pump to garden
The garden will be approx. 400-500ft from the pump house. I will need to supply about 8-10 GPM to a drip line system (1000, 1/2 gallon per hour emitters). I plan to run the main line to the front of the garden (containerized trees), and have "risers" stick out of the ground with valves. I plan to attach a type of hose meant for large-scale dripline irrigation to the risers. And attach the small 3/4" drip lines to that hose at intervals lining up to the rows of trees. I know nothing about pressure and how the pipe diameter affects what. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
