Where do I cut to repair this leak

I had a plumber tell me that this repair was difficult and wanted to charge $300. Attached is a picture. The leak is where the cream colored pipe meets the threaded adapter on the left side of the valve.

Can anyone recommend the best way to repair? Where should I cut the pvc?

Awesome. Thank you. That's what I was thinking as well. Was able to do this myself for less than $20.

The old coupling failed because it wasn't primed correctly. It came right off because it was installed on top of the painted pvc!
