I recently replaced the cartridge on the cold water side of a bathroom sink on our 2nd floor. Now hot then warm water will come out of all the faucets all over the house. Then, it will cool down and cold water will come out.
How could the hot water cross over when it was a a totally separate line?
All I can think is the cartridge is defective. Would shutting off the main water value and draining the entire system fix the problem?
