My sump pump ejects water out of a pvc pipe. I needed to cut the pvc pipe above the pump and it began to leak water back into the pump. How much water is going to leak from the pvc? Is it only the amount in the pipe from the pump to outside? Is it a risk to cut it more to speed it up?
Also, does water also come out of the bottom of the sump?
