Hello, my name is Mike, I'm a student finishing high school, I'm doing an Informational interview to explore this Occupation as a possibility for my future career. If I could take about 10 minutes of someones time to ask a few questions it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

someone who can visualise in 3-D,
arrogant, self starter, can-do type


Is there a demand for people in this occupation
YES, youngsters today,want to work on PC, not get dirty

What are the salary ranges for various levels in this field?
minimum wage,slave wages , first 4 years. up to 50-60K/ own your own co. skys the limit

What special advice would you give a person entering this field?
strive to be the best, go for the brass ring.
try and be efficient in all fields of plumbing
repair, residential construction, commercial, hvac, do not get pigeon holed

What are the basic education/training/experience prerequisites for jobs int this field? strong in MATH
high school, 4 year apprenticeship programs

How do you see jobs in this field changing in the future?
as long as you gotta crap, you will need a crapper
loosing the craft to south of the border invaders, its a problem

How did you get your job?
My Vet rep, arranged an interview

What part of this job do you find most satisfying? most challenging?
Commercial work, Plan reading and job layout
boiler room equipment layout

On a typical day in this position, what do you do?

Install hvac equipment, layout/ install plumbing systems
