I have a copper pex manifold (bottom link) with valves preinstalled. When identifying the water line destinations, one of the valves broke internally in the off position.

I have attempted to contact the manufacturer with minor luck. They suggested buying a whole new manifold. I'd rather pay $10-15 versus $85-$100.

If someone with experience could take a look, I'll get the part and replace it.

Thanks!

Manifold:
Sioux Chief 1/2" PEX Outlets

Potential Valve replacement:
Dahl 1/2" Female Solder X 1/2" Crimpex, mini-Ball Valve

unsweat the valve, pull it off and replace. with 1/2'' sweat ball valve. install 1/2 x barb adapter in other end of ball valve

why buy manifolds ? make your own.

thats 4 bucks, instead of 10. bucks.

next time, buy 1x1/2 tees, a 1x pex adapter and a 1'' cap for your manifold

then you can make how many outlets you want. in any configuration you want.

Not sure what pricing is like there, but I was piping a boiler with 7 zones of infloor for one of my penny pinching friends and I did the math, it was actually cheaper to buy the prefab manifolds then to buy the individual pieces and do the labor work.

That's the only good thing to ever come out of working for a friend

i can see that happening, depends on where you get your parts and pieces.

and working for friends....hate it!!! they want it free, then wanna act they you work for them...

they way i work,,just get out of my way,,,go do something over their :D
