As homeowners were were initially intrigued by Moen's "lifetime" replacement warranty. Needless to say that many Moen products around our home have not failed or been a problem, with GREAT exception to our kitchen faucet. It's already been replaced once, of course the newer version is 90% plastic. My issue is this, there is a small crown-like "retainer" that holds a dome in place directly underneath the handle. It keeps popping out of place thus making the swivel action of the faucet base very erratic and not smooth back and forth like it should be. To those out there that have repaired or installed one of these units, is there a solution? I've already tried tightening the nut underneath the counter that actually secures the base of the faucet, no difference just a backache lol. I'm about ready to throw this thing in the trash and go fork out a few hundred more bucks for something better. Any feedback would be MUCH appreciated. Thank you.
