Default How do I turn on the shower?

Ok, I know I am missing something. I can't figure out how to turn on the shower on this fixture. Is the diverter valve somewhere else? It not on the spout from what I can tell nor the shower head.

Do you have a metal knob sticking out of the top of the tub spout? If you do pull up on it.

My guess is it's a Delta spout. You need to pull down on the lower section of the spout.

If you plug the spout with your hand does it come out of the shower head? Maybe they tossed one on the wall to sell the place, unfortunately I have seen that.
