I broke the shower knob and need to figure out what type of valve this is b/c there I can't find any identification markers, model #, etc. I've looked online and tried all the hardware stores. I thought it looked like a Moen posi temp but no dice.

Looks like a delta. I would need to see the entire cartridge removed to narrow it down to the series.
 
Figured out what it is...a delta scald guard. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction SlowDrip!
