Need to move bathroom drain plumbing to accommodate a new vanity. Photo shows what I have now. I need to move the pipe coming out of the wall over about 3 inches. Can I just cut out the existing tee joint, put in a new one rotated 90 degrees to the left (using mission-type couplings?), and then add an elbow to bring it through the wall where I need it?

you should make a nice square opening first so its easy for you to patch
and so you have enough room to work.....

yo can cut on bot sides of the ty leaving enough room for a 4 band no hub couplings use a long sweep 90 or a st 45 and a regular 45 to make your 90
