Hello forum,

Im no plumber by any means ill start with that which is why I am here trying to get advice from you pros. I have a kitchen island sink which already has one of those monster loop vents under the sink and I was wondering if I can place a T at the top of the loop vent and add a AAV valve for better air flow?

Thank you

If your island vent is done properly (no attached pictures for reference) you do not need, or would benefit at all with an AAV

I agree with Matt, if it links up to an actual vent within 5ft it shouldn't need to be changed.

Is it draining slowly or having issues? Or do you just dislike the loop vent taking up space?
