I've updated all my supply plumbing EXCEPT where it first comes into the basement to the meter. A lead pipe supply line (yeah I know) feeds into old galvanized threaded pipe to the meter. Nothing leaks. My question is does this look stable until I can find somebody to replace this? I'm assuming they'll need to shut the water off at the street. Thanks everyone.

In Minnesota the homeowner owns everything from the shut-off by the street. In this case the homeowner would be responsible for replacing this lead pipe. OP should check with their water dept. for local rule

who ever did the connection between the lead and the galvanized did a nice job the wiping joint. It's been a long time since I wiped one. Back in the day you I had to wipe one to get a license in a town in Ct.
