I just replaced all the inner components of my toilet tank. All seemed well, but after I flushed, it started to run.
At that point I adjusted the float (tightened) by about 1/8 of a turn and the running stopped. Flushed again, running started again. Tightened 1/8 a turn and it stopped. Flushed, running started. Kept doing the same until the float was so tight it was nearly on the bottom of the tank.
Any ideas why tightening would stop the run, but the next flush the same problem persists? Thanks!
