I am ready to install drywall in my utility closet. I have two questions:
1. I would like to remove the gas valve so that I can install a wall flange. Can I remove then replace the valve? Photo attached.
2. I'd like to replace the water valves. Can these kind of valves be replaced by unscrewing them? Photo attached.
Thanks for your help.

And no, you cannot unscrew those type of water valves

you need the 1/2'' IPS 7/8'' inside diameter for a grand total of $1.86

look at the handle on the gas valve. should have a screw. unscrew it. pull the handle off

cut the hole for sheet rock

put the handle back on and snap the pretty chrome thingy around the pipe
