Switching from Kohler to Delta or other faucets

I am new to the forums, and my general question deals with my upstairs bathroom. I bought a home(Technically the bank owns it), and my kohler faucet handle fell off, and the screw that secured the handle to the plastic cover that turned on the water is not fixable. I went to a plumbing supply store(Not home depot or places like that) and tried to get replacement parts. Unfortunately it turned out that my model of faucet was discontinued(See attached photo). I wanted to know if it is possible to use a delta faucet without doing any extensive plumbing work(meaning completely changing the piping)?

I have looked at tutorials on how to remove the valve mixer and pressurizer. Are these the only things I would need to remove and change in order to switch to another fixture brand, or would I need to completely change the current plumbing setup? I was thinking about installing a delta model (https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/BT13010).

Call Kohler Customer Service and tell them what you have. They may provide you with a replacement for no charge or possibly parts that will fit. I've found them very accommodating. Worth a phone call.

You cannot mix and match. You would have to change the valve.

Thanks for the reply. I do not have the metalic looking disk under the valve. My rough in valve looks like the picture attached(https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Ok_pB-7dREs/hqdefault.jpg). Is it correct to assume that there is not a universal rough in valve? I'm guessing that each brand has their own kind of rough in valve?
