So I determined that my anti-back flow valve requires replacement. However, in trouble troublr, I removed the faucet handle and damage a locking nut. So, I need to replace the faucet. The faucet is caterized to a L pipe, made of copper. The copper pipe is then attached to a plastic pipe. What's the best way to detach the copper from the plastic? Is there something else I should be doing to fix my issues?

That looks to be a Viega PEXPress fitting. High quality fittings, but the tools to make them up is very expensive. Probably cheaper to use regular PEX fittings and crimp rings.

That black plastic pipe is viega pex pipe if you do not want to call a plumber use shark bite fittings to install a new frost free hose valve arrow makes some with out the vacuum breaker
