Default Help with sink shut off valves

My mom has an old sink in her bathroom that was buildt in the early 1900's. The shut off valves look similar to spoke type to let water
into the sink. I would like to know if I can connect
an adapter to the exsisting shut off valves.I know that now water supply lines are generally 1/2 x 3/8.The exsisting shut off valves are threaded and measure 7/16 od. Here is a picture of the old valves. I don't know much about plumbing so I thought I could get some advice here.Thanks.

Go buy a supply and try it.
I fell out of my chair trying to orientate the view.

You can replace them. Looks like they are just screwed onto 1/2 IPS nipples coming out of the wall

The supply lines to older sinks use to be 1/2 od now they are 3/8. They do make supply lines that would screw onto that but age of the valves I would recommend replacing shut off valves. You have what appears to be 1/2 galvanized coming out the wall so you can install 1/2 ip x 3/8 comp stop valves.
