Dear All,

I have just bought a domestic water tank and need some advice. I would like to set it up on the roof of 2 storey building as in my region water supply stops regularly.

I want to use gravity for the distribution and won't use pump. My main water supply should go directly into the tank and to other outlets such as shower, toilet, kitchen....etc.

I only need water stored in the tank during water supply cut. Does any one has a better way of doing the installation?

Please find below a schematic I was planning to proceed with:

Is there a way that water in the tanks flows out automatically when the main water supply is cut? Else each time the main water supply is cut I have to get on the roof to open the 'stopper' or close it.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Yannick

Your pressure isn't going to be so good. Each vertical foot below the water level in the tank will be good for .433 pounds.
