Hey All,

Like an idiot, I removed my vacuum breaker on an outdoor spigot. Naturally, I didn't check that there was screw and took the thing off which completely ruined my thread.

I would have to tear into drywall to replace this spigot. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on a potential solution without going down this route. Is there a way to re-thread or another attachment that I could buy and permanently attach to this which has a new set of threads?

Thanks so much for your help! It's very much appreciated.

How bad are the threads? Are you going to replace the vacuum breaker? Maybe teflon tape of bite the bullet and just replace. Without pics, it is really hard to know what you are up against.
