I just saw these at Home Depot. Are they as good and secure as sweating pipes?

Thanks

I need to agree, with the above. Not a fan of the bite fittings, or push fittings in general. I had a bit of a bad experience. For anything permanent i started a to use a lot of stainless steel press fittings www.swiss-fittings.com/fittings/pressfittings , most of the larger brands like www.viega.com, offer these, ProPress, GDPress, etc..

Most of the bite fittings are still not offered in stainless steel, and in the applications that I would possible use them for, i mainly work with stainless steel pipes. Only exception and alternative to shark bite fittings are VSH Tectile fittings from Seppelfricke. Difficult to get in the United States though.

the fittings are nice when ur in a pinch wouldn’t use them all the time
