Hello,

So i am going to be running a irrigation company, however to tie into the main water line, the city requires that a DCVA is installed, To install a DCVA you need a plumber.

I was wondering if it would be possible to take a small course or come to some type of agreement with the inspectors/city to allow a specific person to install the setup and test the back flow prevention device each time. Then have a inspector come and check it out.
There is still a problem with pulling the permit as i am not a registered plumbing contractor.

The installation will be the same every time.
Mainline TEE - Elbow - Ball Valve - DVCA - Elbow - PEX-3/4"NPT.

Do you think something like this is possible. My other option is to hire a plumber into my company to do this and a few other non-plumbing related things.

I am located in Calgary, Canada.

I appreciate any information anyone has.

Hey so there is a back flow course that you can take. I'd get in contact with Sait about it, because I'm up in Edmonton and I know Nait offers a course. Best of luck
