What's a good wrench to use for those 1 1/4" slip nuts on the drain fittings when working in tight quarters on a pedestal sink? I'm thinking there might be some 'special' wrench because nothing I own really works.

Thanks -- but getting things apart isn't the hard part. Putting them back together so the nuts are tight is the challenge.

its the order you do it.
install supplies to the faucet
set sink, level, secure
hook up drain
attach supplies to stops

if you hook up water first, supplies are in the way
you havent figured out yet a plumber has got to be
a contortionist and ambidextrous. ?:D

pedestal sinks are child's play ..you aint seen squat till you try and hook up the drain
in a double compartment Elkay  electric drinking fountain
the SOB will have you pulling your hair out
