I need to install a cover on my fresh air vent on the side of my house...does anyone know if anyone makes a cover, or an addaptor, that corrects for the ridges in vinyl siding? If I just install a flat cover over the vinyl siding it does not sit flush and the space around it caused by the siding would require excessive caulking. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I did some more research and finally found something. It's a surface mounting block which can be placed on the siding without having to rip out the siding. It gives you a flush surface to mount lights, vent covers, etc. on. The only other mounting blocks I knew of were the ones you had to put on before the siding...so i did not want to have to rip out the siding...here's the link for members' info/reference:
