We just installed a water softener. The brine tank looks soapy. Is this safe?

We just installed a water softener. The brine tank looks soapy. When we first turned the faucet on cloudy water came out. Now it is clear, but the brine tank is still soapy. Is this safe to use?

Yes. The initial water was cloudy with air bubbles. As you have noticed, the air will dissipate as the membrane fills with water and forces all the remaining air out.
