If I turn off the cold water supply to the hwt, will I still be able to use the hot water in the tank by say taking a shower? I have some understanding of how the tank works, so my thought is no, it won't work, but I would like to hear some opinions one way or the other.
I ask this question because I want to drain and flush the tank but don't necessarily just want to throw away heated water. Yes, I am that cheap!!
