My shower stall has a leak behind the wall.
It seems to be coming from floor or drain.
I cannot fix it right now but the water is damaging the wall and ceiling below.
In order to shut off the water and wait till I could renovate completely ..
How do I shut off the water to just the shower?
Does the wall/shower floor/tiles need to be demo'd and then cap off the water?

Thanks John. How would I identify the source of the leak? Drain or pipes? Would I have to demo a wall or the shower floor?

That is the bottom of the outside of the shower stall. Right above the baseboard.

go to a plumbing supply house
tell the guy behind the counter, you want to test a shower drain, he will give you a compression plug

put the plug in you shower drain. fill the shower pan with water
about 1" see if it leaks

if no leak, the drain connection is rulled out

now, fill the whole pan up with water

ck for leaks. this is testing the pan itself

or, it can be coming from the glass door to curb connerction.leaking under the door.

if none of them, it could be that your shower wal is not water proofed, or the water proofing is bad
