Hello everyone,

We recently moved into a new home and I noticed the water from our sump pump isn't draining properly.

The pump discharges water into a 4" pvc pipe that runs towards the street 30' or so. Right before it gets to the sidewalk there is an elbow that goes down into a larger pipe. The problem is that water is collecting in this area and making everything a swamp. Pics are attached.

Is this a dry well? Anything I can easily do to fix this?

Thanks for your help!

dig it out and find the bottom. maybe it has an outlet.

This one I found on a commercial property

Pit had mud in bottom. 30" x 30" x 6 ft deep.

started poking around with a digging bar and found an outlet.

after you get it all cleaned up and purdy looking.

figure out what size pipe that big one is. measure it across.

go find a cap, that fits that pipe. ...hope you have a dremel

cut a hole in the cap. for the 4'' elbow to go into.

this willl keep that trash out. do not gkue the cap or elbow, in case you need to get into it
