Hi

I recently bought a new house and have discovered that the water pressure is poor. The flow rate is at the miminum requirement for Scottish Water to not act, but in my opinion is not really good enough for the shower and some taps. I certainly can't use a hose on the outside tap to clean my car.

I've got a pressurised hot water tank and cold water from the mains. Can any suggest ways to improve my flow rate? Preferably cheap options... The only idea I have come up with so far is to install a cold water tank.

Thanks
Gary

Not familiar with the use of elevated water tanks to improve water pressure.
I think That is more commonly used in GB. Booster pump systems are a another option but can be expensive. I would check with your local plumbing contractors for more information as to various options available in you area.
