So I have been informed from my company that in 2015 that any Water Heater greater then 50 Gal will have to have an energy factor of a 2.0 or greater. I have yet to find this anywhere I have been looking on the internet. Has this been brought to anyone elses attention?

What kind of company is telling you this?

That is almost double the standard efficiency of a higher end electric heater, and around four times a standard gas.
