I recently bought a new home and there were many plumbing issues. I was handy enough to sweat the pipes that needed replacment, but the shower is stump'in\ me?

At first the water wouldn't shut off, so I replaced the mixing valve and shower head. Now the cold water won't come out?? I have hot water, but nothing o when cold is on?

Any Ideas?

thanks so much.

This is one of those things that it would be much easier to diagnose hands on.

But my first guess is that you have somehow assemble the handle/stem assembly incorrectly. Remove the handle, and see if you can get cold and hot water out of it just by manipulating the stem with a pair of pliers.

Also, what brand of valve is this?

Did you replace the entire valve or just the cartridge assembly. What is the brand of faucet. Some of the newer types have balance spools and integral stops. Sometimes the balance spool sticks. Especially in a Moen Posi-Temp.
