Hi

I need to replace leaky seals/Valve for a shower valve. I have included a photo of the shower valve with the handle removed.

1. Do I turn and remove the entire Brass cylinder or only unscrew the top part of the cylinder? Then pull out the stem?

2. Are springs, seats, gaskets readily available for an older shower valve like this?

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for the reply regarding the above post. You said it was a Chicago Faucet. Are parts easy to find for those?

Thanks in advance

"square tapered stem end I'm guessing Chicago faucet " only because the stem looks squared and tapered. Do a image search and you will see what I mean. But can't really see it in that photo. unscrew the nut and pull it out ,take another photo. If the stem is round with one flat side might be a Delta or Valley. Usually that type of Delta stem is for sink faucets.
