Manchester,
Last month I installed a 50 gallon water heater. Water was previously heated off the furnace so I rerouted the plumbing and everything worked fine. No leaks and hot water out of all necessary appliances. The only problem is when the dishwasher is running, certain cycles with cause the pipes to vibrate so much that it shakes the whole house. I tied the pipes down more but no change. There were no issues with the dishwasher before the switch and no other appliances appliances or fixtures had the problem, except for when I initally purged the air from the lines after installation. Any idea what the problem and fix is?

That sounds odd.

Is there a shock arrestor installed on the supply piping near the dishwasher? If not, you might try adding one in. But I don't quite know why it would only start doing after you installed the water heater, and not before.
