Went to the San Diego County Fair with my Wife and Grandson last Saturday
Tried the fried Avocados.
About a $1.50 worth of food for $8.50
Dipped into a little ranch dressing, Not to Bad.
Wife also had a fried Twinkie ($3.75)
and some funky hot dog with a spiral cut potatoe( another $8.50)
Good thang I twernt hungry.
I was when I got there but not so much after the Avocados:(
Dang Fair food already got me talking, (I mean typin') funny.

One more set of photos from the sky ride.
Looks like the crowd is thinning out.
The first 2 pics are of the main food corrador,
but that's not even half of the food offered.
Plenty of side streets.
BBQ Ribs , Grilled Turkey legs and corn on the cob was lookin' really good,
but after the avocado, I just wasn't hungry.
I think it was the $ that hurt the most.

All said and done I only spent about $180.
$35 for a toy for the grandson and nothing else but fun memories to take home.

Wow this makes me want to go to the fair. Is this the one in Del Mar?

I've always wanted to try fried butter, but was stopped for my health. I love the fair, but primarily to people watch!

I love deep fried anything, but avocado especially. I will also eat turkey legs non stop till I get sick. Don't know why I do it but I do.

I would have thought that the Texas State Fair would have Armadillo legs rather than turkey legs?

Nope, although I might be having them if I can capture this armadillo at my house.

I get made fun of for it. The only reason I go to fairs/carnivals/group gatherings is for turkey legs.

I could care less about rides, although I do enjoy the games.

My wife is at the fair again right now.
Took 2 of the Grand kids (16 & 7) to see "Big Time Rush"
I have no clue as to who they are.
So I went across the street and had a few beers w/ the neighbors.:)

I just found out what BTR is recently while watching TV with my Daughter. She's not old enough to know she likes them, but she was dancing.

Dang...

Glad I didn't go.
I heard there was a lot of SCREAMING by teenage girls.

Which is actually totally different than all the screaming by teenage girls at an R-Kelly concert... Just wanted to make that clear...

I'm smart enough to not let my daughter go to a R. Kelly concert.
