I am a plumber but can’t find if they still make the black and white stick that your heat up and rub on the cast iron to repair it... maybe I don’t have the name right or maybe the names changed...

We use to have this stuff at work you heated up the cast iron with a torch and rubbed this stick on it to seal the crack.. I don’t remember what is is called.. trying to find some

Not talking about epoxy are you?

Not epoxy but I have seen some repairs made with epoxy on cast iron.
Was a 6" storm drain in a parking garage just as the line went into a block wall.
No way, were the owners going to pay to excavate the outside to replace a storm drain pipe.

there is a method out there its basically a cast comes in a roll along with epoxy
you apply theepxy then soak the roll and wrap it squeezing out excess water
