Is there something that I am missing on installing a new moen shower fixture? I put in new pvc pipe to fit the fixture and turned the water on and nothing came out. The water was coming out with the old piping and old fixture. the water is turned on and works in the toilet and sink in the bathroom. It dripped a little to start with then stopped and now it is not even dripping.
 
PVC ? probably to much glue in the joints. some came off and plugged up the inlet holes into valve. they are small holes ,so it doesn't take much.
 
Remove the cartridge and have someone turn on the water supply to flush out the lines. If water comes out, your cartridge was plugged by debris left over in the lines from installation process. Always flush the pipes prior to installing cartridge for the first time.
