I've searched and searched but found nada on this topic. Don't want to be redundant.

I've got an Whirlpool Estate dishwasher that does not drain completely. There's always a little water left over the drain grate. The hose leads to the disposal under the kitchen sink and has to travel along a 16" hose and upward, about 8-10" above the bottom of the washer.

During the draining stage I can see water flowing through the hose and it almost pulsates instead of flowing at a regular rate.

It's not a huge issue but just wondering how I can get more exiting drainage pressure. Any thoughts or ideas are much appreciated.

A premature "thanks."

You say that the drain hose only rises 8"-10"?

I would bet that you are getting backdrainage. Try routing the hose much higher, bringing it through the wall of the cabinet just below the countertop.
